As the name suggests, our next generation of wheel sensors will be a 360° solution in terms of functionality and performance. Two of the most important features will include enhanced wheel detection sensitivity and higher immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI).
To this end, RSR360 will incorporate the best features of its predecessors in an improved form. As a pioneer in axle counting solutions, we are thrilled to shift train detection to the next level – for maximum safety, availability, and efficiency.
Improved signal-to-noise-ratio
Maximum mechanical robustness
Proven immunity to EMI
Self-testing functionality
Simplification of track maintenance
State-of-the-art interfaces for safe and secure communication
Our next generation of wheel sensors will be more robust against mechanical influences and easier to install. The RSR360 will provide greater flexibility in terms of sensor positioning, leading to a simplification of track maintenance and the ability to provide even more accurate results with fewer components.
From FAdC to FTVS: For the best results in train detection, Frauscher RSR360 is designed to communicate with our entire axle counter portfolio.
This new generation sensor will utilize the latest interfaces and standards for secure and protected data transmission and maximum connectivity.
The SNR (signal-to-noise-ratio) of the Frauscher RSR360 will be better than its predecessors by enabling the flexible positioning of the sensor without reducing sensitivity, while simultaneously maximizing immunity tomechanical interference or electromagnetic influences.
We have reduced the weight of the sensor and improved the design of the rail claw. The plug-in connection no longer requires the flange that is needed with the RSR110 or RSR123 and is secured directly to the rail claw. This leads to significant improvements for installation and daily operations as the entire solution is less sensitive to vibrations from passing trains.
One of the biggest advantages will be the RSR360's immunity to partial traversing, such as wheels stopping on the sensor and reversing direction or false positives caused by metallic items and debris that are not train wheels. Due to an enhanced signal signature with the corresponding signal evaluation, it is possible to reliably recognize instances of partial traversing and filter them out.
