About Frauscher
Frauscher Sensor Technology was established in 1987 in St. Marienkirchen, Austria. For close to four decades the company has been considered a leader in the design and manufacture of cutting-edge wheel sensors and axle counters, and from the start innovation and development have been a part of our DNA and corporate strategy. Today Frauscher is dedicated to providing the world’s most reliable field elements for highly available train detection and wayside object controlling and has pioneered the implementation of the first software interfaces into our products. This includes software, connectivity, and data transmission solutions combined with data-based smart life-cycle management services. Almost 40 years later we are still trailblazers in wheel detection and axle counting, continuously working to expand our offerings into other critical areas. As our portfolio grows and changes, our positioning continues to evolve to further meet the needs of the North American rail industry.

Since 2015, Frauscher has revolutionized the North American rail market with our advanced wheel sensors and axle counters. Our innovative and reliable solutions have gained widespread acceptance, leading to increased adoption of our technology. Our commitment remains steadfast as we strive to achieve our goal, just as we have for the past ten years. Our approach involves consistently delivering individualized and tailored service to every operator and integrator that we work with, and by treating every project as unique. We take pride in our accomplishments, including the fact that Frauscher wheel sensors have been successfully installed in every Class I Railroad in North America. Additionally, we have completed successful projects for major transits, short lines, LRTs, and Class II and Class III railroads. Our applications range from yard automation to primary train detection, grade crossing warning systems, CBTC secondary systems, and more. As we continue to grow, we are excited to further contribute to the North American rail landscape and to expand industry knowledge of our axle counting technology — the trusted global standard for almost 40 years.
