The analog signals captured at the tracks are processed via evaluation boards – reliable and with precision. The advantage? No active electronic components are required on track. With optimal coordination between the evaluation board and Frauscher wheel sensors, you can design and implement applications that meet SIL 4 compliant safety standards.
The wheel sensors can be mounted on the inside of the track in a matter of minutes using patented rail claws, without drilling or complex tools. The rail structure remains unaffected, and the rail claw can be utilised irrespective of the rail shape.
Additional advantage: The electronic units that evaluate the analogue sensor signals are installed in protected outdoor cabinets along the track or directly in the interlocking room. No electronics are required in the trackside connection box, which significantly increases the system's resistance to direct environmental influences.
