The primary function of the FAdP Point Control will be to control and monitor various types of switch machines with different interfaces, offering unparalleled flexibility within a single component. The FAdP is being designed for easy mounting on DIN rails, able to be installed in both indoor and outdoor cabinets with a small footprint. Its components will interconnect via a DIN rail connector, ensuring a streamlined setup.
Flexibility on point: The FAdP Point Control system will offer unparalleled operational flexibility with a single PCU, capable of supporting 4, 7, 9, or 11-wire configurations with various power supplies. This flexibility will accommodate the wide range of switch machine standards and interfaces used globally, ensuring compatibility with numerous manufacturers.
Combined with Frauscher Connect, the FAdP will launch a comprehensive switch control system that will not only control and monitor switch machines but will also ensure a secure communication.
Effective condition monitoring is crucial for system success. FAdP Point Control will feature fully integrated condition monitoring including motor current, voltage, power, phase measurement (cosΦ), switch over time and turn counter, as well as comprehensive diagnostic and health data.
These measurements will be embedded directly within the Point Control Unit (PCU), eliminating the need for additional hardware. Data will be generated and processed within the PCU, using OPC-UA as the standard for industrial communication. The defined data model will be delivered through the diagnostic interface SDI, initially according to EULYNX standards. All data will be accessible via Frauscher Insights or can be accessed with customer diagnostic tools through the SDI interface.
FAdP Point Control will feature a modern and compact design, making it ideal for a range of environments. Its small footprint and DIN rail mounting will enable a straightforward and cost-effective installation, even in tight spaces. Furthermore, the system will integrate the internal power supply and Ethernet bus system via a DIN rail connector, simplifying the setup procedure.
Our solution will offer a significant reduction in size compared to similar products. This compact design will not only facilitate installation in tight spaces, but will also provide significant cost and resource savings due to the reduced need for specialized tools. Additionally, its robust design will allow for operation within a temperature range of -40 to +158°F (-40 to +70 C).
