What to expect

The Frauscher US team is excited to be taking part as an exhibitor in the ASLRRA 2025 conference in Denver, April 6-8! ASLRRA is a premier event for the short line rail industry, bringing together operators, integrators and suppliers to exchange insights, showcase innovations, and discuss key topics shaping the future of short line and regional railroads.

Our experts will be present at booth 217 where they will demonstrate our axle counting portfolio, namely the Frauscher Advanced Counter FAdC and the Frauscher Track Vacancy System FTVS.

The FAdC is a renowned axle counting system that has been used in a wide range of projects and applications worldwide. The system is highly flexible thanks to its modular and scalable architecture, allowing full customization to the needs of individual projects. The FAdC ensures high levels of availability with advanced functionalities including Supervisor Track Sections STS and Counting Head Control CHC. Additionally, it can support customized protocols, and also offers the Frauscher Safe Ethernet FSE protocol and can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems.

For non-vital applications we will showcase the Frauscher Track Vacancy System FTVS. The FTVS is a simple and cost-effective solution, featuring a space-saving design, quick installation and easy integration into existing systems. The FTVS system is ideal for less safety critical applications such as train detection in yards and is anchored by our reliable and time-tested Wheel Sensor RSR110. The RSR110 features a robust design with a highly versatile open, analog interface. It is immune to the harsh conditions often present in yards such as standing water and deteriorated track and ballast and is suitable for all standardized rail profiles.

About the event

The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) represents the interests of the nation's short line and regional railroads. These railroads are vital connectors in the U.S. freight rail network, often serving as critical links between rural and urban areas, and larger Class I railroads. ASLRRA advocates for its members by addressing legislative and regulatory issues, promoting safety, and fostering innovation within the industry. The association also provides training, resources, and networking opportunities to ensure the continued growth and success of its member railroads.
