During his 16 years in railway signalling, Manfred Sommergruber was involved in many technical developments and introduced an interdivisional project management process according to International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS). For two years he was working as expatriate in Melbourne, where he set up a technical sales department for Frauscher Australia. In his current position as a Product Manager for Train Detection Systems he is responsible for overseeing the development and strategy for train detection solutions, aligning product features with market demands, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the systems meet the highest standards in terms of safety and efficiency.
