The primary function of the FAdP Point Control is to control and monitor various types of point machines with different interfaces, offering unparalleled flexibility all within a single component. The FAdP is designed for easy mounting on DIN rails and can be installed in both indoor and outdoor cabinets. Its components are interconnected via a DIN rail connector, ensuring a streamlined setup.
Flexibility on point: The FAdP Point Control offers unparalleled operational flexibility with a single PCU capable of supporting 4, 7, 9, or 11-wire configurations with various power supplies. This flexibility accomodates the wide range of point machine standards and interfaces used globally, ensuring compatibility with numerous point machine manufacturers.
Combined with Frauscher Connect, the FAdP Point Control forms a comprehensive Point Control System. It not only controls and monitors point machines, but also ensures a secure communication in line with EULYNX standards.
Effective condition monitoring is crucial for system success. FAdP Point Control features fully integrated condition monitoring, including motor current, voltage, power, phase measurement (cosΦ), switch over time, turn counter, as well as comprehensive diagnostic and health data.
These measurements are embedded directly within the Point Control Unit (PCU), eliminating the need for additional hardware. Data is generated and processed within the PCU, using OPC-UA as the standard for industrial communication. The defined data model is delivered through the diagnostic interface SDI according to EULYNX standards. All data is accessible via Frauscher Insights or can be utilised by customer diagnostic tools through the SDI interface.
FAdP Point Control features a modern and compact design, making it ideal for a range of environments. Its small footprint and DIN rail mounting enable a straightforward and cost-effective installation. Furthermore, the system integrates the internal power supply and Ethernet bus system via a DIN rail connector, simplifying the setup procedure.
