Having knowledge and understanding of system engineering principles, product lifecycle development process including hardware and software. Understanding and developing system/product documents for railway signalling programs with a reference network architecture for mainline or urban signalling solutions. As a product engineer you participate in the design, development, and maintenance of the track-detection sub-systems in compliance to the highest quality and safety standards required by the customers.
Define technical solutions, validate the proposed technical concepts and design for indigenization and RDSO compliances.
To interface with the product owners and project engineering teams for defining and writing technical requirement specifications for functional, operational, interfaces and performance for trackside signalling systems (especially the Axle counting and Object controller devices).
Provide support to other cross-functional teams for defining safety, security and maintainability requirements.
Provide support for our products to our internal and/or external customers.
Driving technical relationships with suppliers with close management of quality commitments, risks & validation (including Design Reviews with suppliers).
Product lifecycle support for quality, safety, RAM and project management.
Perform risk mitigation tasks, maintain compliance and traceability matrix and execute technical manuals.
Contribute to innovative programs.
More than 3 - 5 years’ experience working on railway systems or product design & development process.
Knowledge of Axle Counters or Electronic Interlocking is advantage.
Knowledge and experience of PLM, SysML requirement management, product configuration management and traceability reports.
Good knowledge of IP networking and Ethernet-based applications.
Application of standards such as ISO9001, CENELEC EN50126, EN50129 or IEC 61508, EN50128 or EN50716, EN50159.
Electrical and/or Mechanical and/or Functional System Engineering applied to Railway Signalling products.
Knowledge and experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Safety standards.
Master or Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication/ Automotive)
Fluency in English (spoken and written) required for internal and external communications.
